By way of introduction, let me tell you a bit about our company. Gibson Girls Marketing is an SEO & Marketing agency in Georgetown, Texas. Providing Social Media & Reputation Management, Video Marketing, Consulting & more.
We are a division of Gibson Girls Publishing which focuses more on, you guessed it, publishing. That aspect of our business teaches business owners about becoming experts in the marketplace through publishing, as well as how to publish on Kindle and in other digital formats. Sharing information for love or money is what that part of our business is focused on. But enough about THAT...
Gibson Girls Marketing is focused on educating our customers and potential clients so that they can make informed decisions about their marketing. If we can be of assistance by helping do the work for them, well, we are more than happy to oblige (as you might imagine).
The way we approach this is, basically, we'll tell you what you need to do through free webinars, Q&A sessions, posts on our blogs, case studies, videos, and all types of freely shared information. If you want to tackle those projects yourself, that's great. That frees us up to come in and do the hard hitting if you need us to.
You might be surprised how many tiny details a business owner could tackle and accomplish on their own, if they just had a little guidance. That's where we come in. And, if you decide it makes you go cross-eyed, or pull your hair out, or what have you; hey, we are here. (We would not want you to run around bald and half-blind now would we?)
Often people ask why our business model includes sharing so much information, so I thought you might be asking the same thing.
To be honest with you it's because we are super nice... No, really. We firmly believe that an educated customer is much happier than a bamboozled one. Especially when it comes to all this internet marketing voodoo. I mean, I think most people offering SEO services simply steamroll over their customers and leave them feeling confused or stupid. That's not good for business!!
We know there's a lot to this stuff. We do it everyday. And to make matters worse, it changes constantly. Trying to hit a moving target is challenging to say the least. And we think business owners have enough on their plate, saving the economy and what not, don't you?
It is our opinion that America was built on small businesses succeeding. And, that when local businesses are thriving, the country is thriving. We want to do our part by helping them be successful. (And happy! Remember that pursuit of happiness thing?)
In this ever changing world of technology, marketing is not what it used to be. It's a different critter. Gone are the days when a company could sing its own praises, or gloss things over being far, far removed from the man on the street.
Now we have to build relationships with our customers (not just us; you, too). We have to be real, and honest and something they want to tell others about. Seth Godin calls it "sneezing." (If you haven't read any of his books, you should totally do that soon.)
